Manhattan Halal Gyro

I always get the mixed platter and maduros. Everything is consistently great here and service is very fast. They always give 2 extra white sauce and 1 hot sauce per order. Portion size was large.

Excellent, a close place to grab halal food. Tried gyro and falafel platter. Rice was cumin forward, gyro lots of flavor and falafel crunch but soft on the inside. Falafel is spiced a little bit differently, not overly vegetal. White and red sauce available too. Will be go-to lunch place. Prices are average but portion is decently sized. Dining tables inside too.

Food was flavorful and hit all the right spots. The service was ok - the guy serving us talked on his phone the whole time he took our order and prepped the food. While service and atmosphere lacked, the food was top notch. We had the gyro platter and chicken platter

The food tastes delicious. I think if the place is called Gyro it is reasonable that they cut the meat from the gyro in front of you. However that is not the case the gyro meat is in a container just like in a cart in the city. And to be 100% honest, considering that I paid over $15 for a platter with a Coke and it is served in a plastic Tupperware with plastic fork, at the very least the portions should be bigger. It is not the case, not a lot of rice, not a lot of meat, not a lot of salad. I think I would go more often otherwise. However the taste is there and it tastes pretty good.

I used to live in nyc. Since moving to jersey years ago, i have been looking for a place that does Falafel and gyro platters the new york way. This spot is exactly that and no other spot compares! Ive tried so many disappointing falafels in jersey. This one was perfect! Exactly the same as my fav cart in NYC. I used to have to go to nyc when i craved this so im so happy i no longer have to make that journey. Manhattan Halal Gyro has to be one of the most underrated restaurants in northern jersey. The team was friendly and lovely. The prices were insanely good! The quality was perfect. Good vegetables and loved the grilled onions on the platter. The sauces were exactly what they were supposed to be and the falafel was so perfect - soft but crunchy - exactly what i love in a good falafel. This also tastes the same as the falafel i get when i visit family in the middle east. So go try it!

I gotta say, to start off, this place just has some really good food. I tried their Pita, it was just mind blowing, the amount of flavor and effort put into it was just wonderful. Took the second bite, I got more out of the Pita. I would say, of course very messy but something amazing to have for dinner. The service was great! Nice gentleman who was one-manning the job, both cashier and cook, but he was extremely relaxed and friendly which was awesome! The atmosphere of the restaurant wasn’t the best however, there was no music at all, it made it feel very cold but the restaurant was definetly clean. This was a very good restaurant, I recommend this place, I couldn’t Find anything in Ridgewood, therefore coming here was the best option.
